ADV Rider Just Two Pannier Stickers Away From Achieving The Rank Of ‘Grandemaster’

Local adventurer – Toby Flenderson – is just two pannier stickers away from reaching the ADV community’s sorta-highest rank of ‘Grandemaster.’

“That’s not a typo,’ said Anthony Gardner, original Grandemaster and neighborhood watch member. “It’s actually spelled with an ‘e.’ Also, there’s technically a ‘Ventimaster’ and ‘Trentamaster,’ but those ranks require the rider to put actual mileage on their bikes… which is pretty unreasonable for most of us.”

By adding just two more stickers to his panniers, Toby will become just the fifth man in the history of his neighborhood to earn such an honor.

“Purchasing stickers, cleaning the surface, applying the sticker in just the right spot… I mean it has been a long road… well, not literally… you can order most of these babies online and have them next-day shipped to your house,” Toby said. “But, it has been totally worth it. Each sticker tells a story, brings back a memory, and – most importantly – lets everyone know I like to ADV and party.”

Toby already has an idea of what his last two stickers will be.

“Well, not to brag, but I did install a phone mount by myself the other day… so Quad Lock is definitely going on to show off my mechanical prowess,” Toby said. “As for my last one, it’s between a ‘Take the Road Less Graveled’ sticker or a ‘Not All Who Wander Are Lost… But They Clearly Can’t Afford Built-In Navigation’ sticker.
