Dad, Still Clinging To Hope, Thinks Maybe This Is The Year His Bow Tie-Sized Gift Contains A Motorcycle
A local father who has spent the last 15 Christmases having his optimism slowly suffocated by one necktie after the next, has managed to muster up just enough hope to think maybe, just maybe, there’s a motorcycle inside his single, tiny present under the tree.
“I mean, Honda Groms are pretty small,” said Larry Ferguson, a compulsory mug and necktie collector. “Honestly, a moped would be fine at this point… those are usually small too.”
Desperate to keep reality at bay, Larry continued.
“Or it could be the keys to a bike,” Larry said. “That’s it! It’s the keys to a bike! Keys that… don’t… make any noise when you shake the box around.”
With a small chance that the gift turns out to be his 16th-straight tie, Larry has begun practicing his go-to lines to help cope
“If it’s not a bike, it’s probably for the best,” Larry said. “My family would probably get me a red bike and I’m more of a blue bike kinda guy… plus they’d probably have to leave it outside somewhere to keep it a surprise and it would get dirty and cold. I’m sure the 2026 models will be worth the wait anyway.”
